In the movie, Mystery of the megaflood, there is a large
terrain about 200 miles east of Seattle called the “scablands”. The reason for
its names is because they are is filled with hills and valleys that appear to
be formed by great amounts of water. No one really understood why these ripple effects
had taken place because there had been any evidence of any type of flowing
water. One man named Harlen Bretz brought up an idea that the scablands had
actually had a massive flood that made this hills and valleys. Many people
thought are idea was absurd until Joseph Pardee helped him go deeper into his
mission about solving this mystery. Pardee
discovered an area in Montana where the Great Lakes use to be and he believes
that I the dam to the lakes had broken, maybe the lake water had flown into the
scablands. The problem was that the dam was a massive iceberg and many highly
doubted that it would break. Well, later in Iceland the same thing had happened
and it solved the mystery.
